Forgiven and Forgotten

As far as the east is from the west, so far has he removed our transgressions from us. (Psalm 103:12)

Attitude

The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, than education, than money, then circumstances, than failures, than successes, than what other people think, say, or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness, or skill. It will make or break a company, a church, a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice every day regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day.

We cannot change our past. We cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% how I react to it. And so it is with you. We are in charge of our attitudes.

The Tree

He Created the Tree
He molded and built
A small lonely hill,
That He knew would be
Called Calvary.

Then He made the seed,
That would grow to be thorns
That would make
His Son bleed.
Then He made a green stem
Gave it leaves and then
Gave it sunshine and rain
And sheltered it with moss.

With tears in His eyes,
God looked down in time
Saw Him spat upon,
Beaten and mocked.

Still, He grew the tree,
That He knew would be
Used to make
The old rugged cross.

Nothing took His life.
With love He gave it.
He was crucified,
On the tree
That He created.

With great love for man
God stayed with His plan
He grew the tree,
That He knew would be
Used to make
The old rugged cross.

The Difference

I got up early one morning and rushed right
into the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I didn't
have time to pray,

Problems just tumbled about me, and
heavier came each task.
"Why doesn't God help me?" I wondered.
He answered, "You didn't ask."

I wanted to see joy and beauty, but the
day toiled on, gray and bleak;
I wondered why God didn't show me.
He said," But you didn't seek."

I tried to come into God's presence; I used
all my keys at the lock. God gently and
lovingly chided,
"My child you didn't knock."

I woke up early this morning, and paused
before entering the day;
I had so much to accomplish that I had to
take time to pray.

Isaiah 40:31 NLT

Isaiah 40

31 But those who trust in the LORD will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

YOU ARE BLESSED

YOU ARE BLESSED

If you woke up this morning with more health than illness… you are more blessed than the million who will not survive this week.

If you have never experienced the danger of battle, the loneliness of imprisonment, the agony of torture, or the pangs of starvation... you are ahead of 500 million people in the world.

If you have food in the refrigerator, clothes on your back, a roof overhead and a place to sleep… you are richer than 75% of this world.

If you have money in the bank, in your wallet, and spare change in a dish someplace... you are among the top 8% of the world’s wealthy.

If your parents are still alive and still married... you are very rare, even in the United States & United Kingdom.

If you hold up your head with a smile on your face and are truly thankful... you are blessed because the majority can, but most do not.

If you prayed yesterday and today… you are in the minority because you believe God does hear and answer prayers.

If you can read now, you are more blessed than over two billion people in the world that cannot read at all.

If you are still regretting over anything today, make yourself understand that you are blessed more than many people around you.

In keeping with 2010 being a year of hope and restoration, I am reminded of the chorus of an annointed worship song entitled "There is Healing in This House," which is as follows:

There is healing in this house - healing in this house.

Manifested peace to all

Troubled hearts with healing balm.

There is healing in this house.

Restoration in this place.

There is mercy there is grace.

Though you're heavy laden come.

Bring your burdens one by one.

Leave them here where they belong.

There is healing in this house.

Here's a video clip of Destiny Rambo McGuire ministering that song in music.

A New Year Ahead

Dr. George O. Wood, AG General Superintendent, shares some thoughts and scriptures on the upcoming year ahead in this video clip entitled "A New Year Ahead.”

2010

Happy New Year! Another year has come and gone, and we've entered a new decade as well. Let's see if we can revive this blog again during this new year. Things have been a little hectic, and I apologize for not posting anything to the blog recently. God was faithful to fullfill his promise of sudden breakthroughs in 2009, and God spoke again prophetically thru Dr. George during our New Year's service that 2010 will be a year of hope and restoration. God is bringing back the glory, joy, healing, and annointing. He is doing mighty things in our midst. Let's believe God together that the best is yet to come.
